Zoran Medved (Ph.D.) is regularly employed as programme editor at TV Maribor, a public regional TV channel from Northeast Slovenia –one of two public regional TV channels of RTV Slovenia. He also works as associate lecturer at the Department of Media Studies of the University of Primorska. Since 1987, he has worked as a journalist, TV editor, head of Arts and Culture news, editor-in-chief at TV Maribor, deputy director, and consultant to the Director General of RTV Slovenia. Since 2001, he has been the national coordinator of the European Association of Regional Television (CIRCOM Regional) in Slovenia; he was a member of the Executive Committee during two mandates, he worked as Internal Auditor for five years. Currently he is the CIRCOM Regional Project Manager of the UVigo CIRCOM Chair. From 2006 to 2015, he was a fellow of the Institute of Media Communications at University of Maribor (Television Programmes and Practicum: Writing for the Broadcast Media). Since 2019, he has been working as an associate professor at the Department of Media Studies of the University of Primorska (Media Production and Audiovisual and Digital Practicum) and he is member of the MediaLab Centre of the same university.
