Victoria Moreno-Gil holds a Ph.D. in Journalism from Carlos III University (Madrid) and a Master's degree in Ethics and Law in Journalism from the UNED. She works as an associate professor at the Communication and Media Studies Department at Carlos III University, and at the School of Communication and Arts of Nebrija University. She has been a Visiting Researcher at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona). Her research focuses on journalism ethics, media accountability, and media literacy. She is a member of the following R+D+i research projects funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities: Media Accountability Instruments against Disinformation: The Impact of Fact-Checking Platforms as Media Accountability Tools and Curricular Proposal (FACCTMEDIA) and AIGenBias. She combines a research career with professional journalism. She currently works as a multimedia editor for the European Pressphoto Agency (EPA), linked to the Spanish news agency EFE.
